This a very special post for Thunder that always get so much into the new stuff he sees... So, just to say, it's just personal choices, i'm rather going to watch an anime for its' story than for its' characters! I'm looking for Animes (i'm saying manga, i mean animes) with "interesting stories", "some dynamics" and that look like "artistic or pretty"... I don't really consider anime that doesn't have at least 2 strong points of these 3! After, i prefer to talk about the less well known ones!

Really interesting universe and powers, but 1000 years in future... Akward moments in this one, but really good! A bit philosophy in it... and a lot of action (don't get fooled by the begining)!
4/ Toaru Kagaku no Railgun

5/ Jyu Oh Sei

A guy specialist in barehand fight against sword, go with a so called strategist-girl to find 12 legendary swords! 45 min ep... it was airing one each mounth for one year... Really unusual art, but work really fine!

Americano-japanese production! Amazing stuff!

3 to 4 level of reading/watching/interpretation! With nearly subliminal pictures, hard to catch everything sometime... Even more when it's abtract! And the story is overwhelming!

A platonic story about a merchant and a millenary wolf goddess! How not to lose money when you are going in a trap and even gain some!

1/ Baccano!

Mafia, 30's, USA... a bit surnatural... "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" style anime! A must to see!
Like Baccano!, no main characters... A twisted story, but all make sense with the serie going on! The is even a cross-over with Baccano! in it!
3/ No Game No Life

Maybe overrated, but the story make you, want to see next!
4/ Tokyo ESP
